Sober Diaries is a journal-writing guidebook for people in recovery from substance-abuse. The workbook contains 32 writing exercises that encourage the person to find their voice and explore their experiences, emotions and thoughts while in recovery. By encouraging the writer to give voice to their story, Sober Diaries builds self-esteem and full consciousness of the influences in one’s life and where the power and strength to be oneself comes from.
"Sober Diaries is a beautifully formatted journal which encourages individuals in treatment for addiction to contemplate the past and reflect upon the present and future. It poses a series of thoughtful questions that help to make the process of introspection flow gently. This journal will guide you towards greater insight as you travel along your personal path to recovery."
- Mary McLaughlin, PhD, Rehabilitation Psychologist, Syracuse, NY

But all my journaling consisted of was what I had for breakfast that morning. Sober Diaries gave me something that I couldn't do for myself. It helped me free up my past and focus on the present - with the future in mind. Sober Diaries helped give me clarity, purged unconstructive thoughts, and provided me a record of my progress."
